East Asia Marine Expo 2019 to Be Held in Qingdao on September 4

The 2019 East Asia Marine Expo is to be held from September 4th to 8th, 2019 at the Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition. As a major part of the East Asia Marine Cooperation Platform Qingdao Forum, the event is expected to gather over 600 exhibitors from more than 60 countries and regions to display new achievements, new technologies and new equipment in the marine field.

East Asia Marine Cooperation Platform Qingdao Forum is sponsored by the Ministry of Natural Resources of the People’s Republic of China and the People’s Government of Shandong Province, organized by the Qingdao Municipal People’s Government, and executed by the Qingdao West Coast New Area Administrative Committee. It is a landmark project that puts the Belt and Road Initiative into practice and an innovative platform for two-way opening up and cooperation mainly among ASEAN, China, Japan and ROK (known as “10+3”).

Under the theme of “Towards Greater Openness and Connectivity – Blue, Ocean and Technology”, the 2019 East Asia Marine Expo will set up seven exhibition zones with a total area of 40,000 square meters, namely, Marine Equipment Zone, Smart Manufacturing Zone, International Marine Zone, Qingdao Marine Technology Zone, Port and Shipping Zone, Finance and Trade Zone, and Foreign and Domestic Commodities Zone. The exhibition will cover marine engineering equipment, marine technologies, marine new energy, marine new materials, marine biotechnology, desalination, port and shipping, finance and trade and so on. Well-known enterprises at home and abroad will get together to exhibit global leading marine equipment and technologies, including CSIC, China Electronics Technology Group, China Communications Construction, Siemens, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Huawei, JD, Xiamen XGMA Machinery, Port of Qingdao, Kerui, CP Pharmaceutical Group and BGI.

East Asia Marine Expo aims to encourage marine cooperation among East Asian countries and accelerate the establishment of the East Asia marine community with a shared future for the members to share the achievements of marine development.
