Communities In Schools and AllenComm Collaborate to Win Training Awards

SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Communities In Schools (CIS) along with custom corporate training leader AllenComm recently won two training awards for a leadership training course within CIS' RampUp curriculum called Student Supports Training. CIS empowers at-risk students across the country to stay in school and realize their full potential. This winning course was built to engage and enlighten CIS learners, which comprise a group of school-based staff like teachers, social workers, and administrators.

The course received honors from both Brandon Hall Group and Omni Awards. These awards represent the best in training and development. The course was awarded a silver award from Brandon Hall Group, Inc. Excellence Award for Best Advance in Custom Content and a silver Omni Award for Education. The Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards are given to courses that meet the following criteria: fit the need, design of the program, functionality, innovation, and overall measurable benefits. The Omni Awards have a rigorous judging process and recognition awarded to the most outstanding media that engages, empowers, and enlightens.

The Communities In Schools RampUp curriculum combines blended learning through an instructor-led workshop and online pre, post, and workshop eLearning elements to solidify the curriculum content for the learner. The learning catalysts include an emphasis on learning, practicing, workshopping with others, and tangible takeaways. The multimodal classroom and online learning elements within the course blend with thoughtful timing and easy navigation for each learner.

"We're encouraged to have received these awards. This further validates the quality and thoughtful content design by our team with education and nonprofit leaders in mind," said Jessy Cuddy, Director of Practice Innovation at CIS. "Learners are encouraged to engage with the content through pre and post-eLearning coursework as well as in a variety of group settings and content delivery."

"We're so proud to be a part of an organization that impacts youth in schools all over the country," said Ron Zamir, CEO of AllenComm. "We see such a partnership as a way to scale the good work they do and to get more organizations to adopt the Communities In Schools program."
