Simthetiq supporting Royal Canadian Navy visual simulation capability development

Montreal, 27 September 2019 – Simthetiq is pleased to announce that they are supporting the development of critical new virtual training capabilities for the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN).

As the first Naval customer for Simthetiq’s 3D content Library, the RCN is drawing on the resources of Simthetiq’s 3000+ strong, interoperable repository of 3D content, which are being deployed as plug and play entity models for the VBS serious game engine. Simthetiq’s VBS configuration service provides standardized in-game functionality across different vehicle types, allowing for rapid deployment and use.

The 3D content is used by the Naval Personnel and Training Group for advanced seamanship training as a key element of a comprehensive restructuring of Naval Training System transformation laid out in the RCN’s overall Strategic Plan.

The RCN will benefit from flexible enterprise licensing that also allows for additional IG or game engine formats to be made available from the same common source; ensuring their visual content investments can adapt to changing technological or operational requirements.

Visit our booth (#2334) at I/ITSEC in Orlando from 2-6 December to find out why the RCN has joined the growing user community of international training organizations that deploy our immersive 3D content solutions.
