Loureiro Engineering Adds New Senior Project Manager to the SMEP Division

Damayanti Chaudhuri has joined Loureiro Engineering (Loureiro) as a Senior Project Manager to the SMEP Division. Headquartered in Plainville, Conn., with offices in Groton, Conn., New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, North Carolina, and Washington, D.C., Loureiro is an employee-owned, full-service multi-disciplinary firm providing engineering, environmental health and safety, energy, facility, waste management consulting, construction, and laboratory analytical services.

Damayanti has an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut and her B.S. in Civil Engineering from Jadavpur University. Damayanti is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York and has 12 years of experience in structural engineering. Damayanti’s experience includes performing structural analysis, design and advanced studies of high rise buildings and long span structures using finite element models, preparing design calculations of concrete and steel structural elements based on National and International Codes, and she has developed construction documents and coordinating design activities with architects and engineers, leading staff in the preparation of structural drawings and BIM models using AutoCAD/ REVIT. Damayanti was most recently a Senior Project Engineer at DeSimone Consulting Engineers. As Senior Project Engineer, Damayanti was responsible for reviewing and preparing structural drawing sets, calculation packages and other project documents, and reviewing construction submittals for conformance with design documents, managing multiple projects and coordinating design activities with architects, MEP engineers and other design consultants, and represented her employer at client and coordination meetings and developing proposals and qualification packages for new projects.
