Academy Bank Announces Completion of Merger with KCB Bank That Gives Clients Access to 25 Locations in Kansas City Metro

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 21, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Academy Bank, a full-service community bank and wholly owned subsidiary of Dickinson Financial Corp., today announced the completion of its merger with Kearney, Mo. based KCB Bank. The merger demonstrates Academy Bank's continued expansion in the Kansas City metropolitan area. The merger bolsters Academy Bank's presence in Kansas City's Northland communities -- including Kearney, Liberty, and Gladstone, Mo. -- and expands its presence in Bonner Springs, Kan. -- to give clients access to 25 Academy Bank locations throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area. The five KCB Bank locations will be officially transitioned to Academy Bank by Monday, Oct. 21.

Academy Bank recently opened new retail banking centers in Overland Park, Kan. and in the Crossroads Arts District in Downtown Kansas City, Mo. The bank also plans to open a retail banking center in Lenexa, Kan. next year.
