Ain't "U" Got No Manners Author Celebrates World Kindness Day, Supports World Kindness USA

PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Nov. 6, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Author Kristin Johnson said she will be using her Internet manners book Ain't "U" Got No Manners, dubbed by Patrick Evans of CBSTV-2 in Palm Springs as "the Bible for social media," to help spread awareness of Internet manners and online etiquette on World Kindness Day, November 13, 2019.

Johnson said, "Having been a guest on an upcoming episode of The Kindness Project podcast, hosted by the wonderful father-daughter team Chris and Charlotte Daems, kindness is very much on my mind. And I just completed a promotion during National Bullying Prevention Month in October. I'm all about spreading kindness this fall."

Johnson said she intends to celebrate and promote the work of campaigns such as Born This Way/Channel Kindness founded by Stephanie and Cynthia Germanotta, aka Lady Gaga and her mother, whom Johnson highlights in the book. She recently participated in their September campaign #BeKind21.

According to the Web site AwarenessDays.com, "World Kindness Day was first launched in 1998 by The World Kindness Movement, an organisation formed at a 1997 Tokyo conference of like-minded kindness organisations from around the world. There are currently over 28 nations involved in The World Kindness Movement which is not affiliated with any religion or political movement. The mission of the World Kindness Movement and World Kindness Day is to create a kinder world by inspiring individuals and nations towards greater kindness." According to the World Kindness movement's Web site, "World Kindness Day is internationally observed on 13 November of each year. It was introduced in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement, then a coalition of national NGOs with a primary focus on kindness. World Kindness Day is to highlight good deeds in the community focusing on the positive power and the common thread of kindness which binds us."

The World Kindness Movement lists several organizations worldwide as members, including World Kindness USA, http://www.worldkindnessusa.org.

Michael Lloyd-White, CEO of World Kindness USA and the immediate past Secretary-General of the World Kindness Movement global body, said, "Manners are one of the first steps to being kind. It is in providing this courtesy which demonstrates respect for an individual. The please and thank yous can make a difference to the message you wish to convey, especially today in the written word on social media. We must be mindful that manners alone do not always equate to being a kind person, however it certainly helps us on the road to having better relationships with family, friends and complete strangers."

Ain't "U" Got No Manners took home three awards in Dan Poynter's 2019 Global Ebook Awards, specifically the Bronze Award in the category of Technology and Engineering, Silver in eBook Cover, and Honorable Mention in Self-Help.
