CURRENT SHAREHOLDERS: Zamansky LLC Investigates Energy Transfer LP (ET) for Potential Breaches of Fiduciary Duties

Zamansky LLC announces that it is investigating Energy Transfer LP (ET) (“Energy Transfer” or the “Company”) for potential breaches of fiduciary duties by Energy Transfer’s senior officers and board of directors. If you are a shareholder of Energy Transfer who still holds your shares, and have held since February 2017, please contact our firm for information.

As the Associated Press reported on November 12, 2019, Energy Transfer’s Mariner East pipeline project has been under investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”) for potential issues relating to bribery. Citing interviews with current and former state employees, the Associated Press reported that the FBI’s investigation “involves the permitting of the pipeline, whether [Pennsylvania Governor Tom] Wolf and his administration forced environmental protection staff to approve construction permits and whether Wolf or his administration received anything in return.” On this news, Energy Transfer’s unit price fell by more than 6%, harming investors.

According to Jake Zamansky, investment fraud attorney, Energy Transfer’s officers and directors owe the Company and its shareholders fiduciary duties. “The recent announcements regarding FBI investigations and other related issues raise potential concern for investors,” Zamansky says. “Our law firm is investigating whether the officers and directors have breached their duties to Energy Transfer and its shareholders.”
