Orbit International's Electronics Group Receives Purchase Order For Approximately $1,580,000
HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., Dec. 18, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --
Orbit International Corp. (OTC PINK:ORBT), an electronics manufacturer and
software solution provider, today announced that its Electronics Group
(”OEG”) has received a purchase order from a major prime contractor for
approximately $1,580,000, for a display used on a major military aviation
program. Deliveries of the completed display units are expected to
commence in the fourth quarter of 2020 and continue through the fourth
quarter of 2022.
Mitchell Binder, President and
CEO of Orbit International commented, “After several months of working
with our customer, we are pleased to receive this follow-on multi-year
award on a major military aviation program. This award will lay a strong
foundation to the delivery schedules for our OEG beginning in the fourth
quarter of 2020 and extending through the end of 2022. In addition, we
are also expecting other awards on this program over the next several
months.”
Binder added, “Our OEG is still expecting another
follow-on award from another one of our customers which we believe will not
be received until the first quarter of 2020. This award should further
add to our delivery schedules for 2020. These orders from our OEG
complement the increase in bookings from our Power Group (”OPG”) that
we have reported over the last several months highlighted by the consistent
receipt of new orders utilizing our VPX technology, commercial power
supplies as well as two large orders received for our Common Aircraft
Armament Test Sets (“CAATS”).”
