Yamaha Introduces NX Series Guitars and New Color Collection for Pacifica, TRBX, and SILENT Guitar

ANAHEIM, Calif., Jan. 16, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Yamaha today debuted the NX Series of six nylon-string acoustic-electric guitars at the 2020 NAMM Show, along with a fashionable lineup of fresh color options for the Pacifica 112V and 112VM solid body electrics, the TRBX304/305 and TRBX504/505 basses and the SLG200S and SLG200N SILENT Guitars.

NX Series Nylon-String Acoustic-Electric Guitars feature contemporary body styles and preamp and pickup systems developed with the needs of live performers in mind. The NTX1, NTX3, and NTX5 models were designed to make it easy for electric and steel-string acoustic guitar players to add the warmth and beauty of nylon-string sounds to their tonal palettes. NTX guitars have shallower bodies, flatter neck profiles, and narrower fingerboards than classical guitars, providing a more familiar playing experience. The NCX1, NCX3 and NCX5 models have classical-style neck profiles and fingerboards and were designed primarily for experienced nylon-string players in search of superior amplified sound. The NTX3, NTX5, NCX3 and NCX5 guitars incorporate the proprietary Atmosfeel® preamp and pickup system, which provides unparalleled amplified sound even at full performance volumes.

Style-savvy guitarists take note: The ever-popular Pacifica 112V electric guitars are now available in elegant Vintage White and United Blue finishes, while the Pacifica 112VM guitars offer chic Ice Blue and Gray finishes to beautifully compliment their maple fingerboards. Bassists, too, will appreciate the stylish simplicity of the Factory Blue finish offered on 4-string TRBX304 and 5-string TRBX305 basses, and the earthy richness of the Brick Burst finish available on the TRBX504 and TRBX505.

Finally, the award-winning Yamaha Silent Guitar has always been the ideal instrument for practice, travel and live performance. The new Crimson Red Burst finish continues a bold and modern aesthetic and is available on the SLG200S steel-string and Silent Guitar SLG200N nylon-string Silent Guitars.

About Yamaha Guitars
Yamaha began manufacturing guitars in the 1940s and began exporting them to the world in 1966. First, in the '40s, came nylon-string classical acoustic guitars, but it was 1966 that proved to be a particularly impactful year for Yamaha guitars. Introduced at that time were SG electric guitars, SB electric basses, FG steel-string acoustics and a guitar amp. Numerous other offerings have followed, ranging from amps and effects pedals, to an ever-growing range of high-quality guitars, such as the SG, BB, FG and Revstar® families. Over time, the brand has expanded such that Yamaha now builds some of the best-selling acoustic guitars on earth; over a million people a year are transformed into acoustic guitar players by virtue of acquiring their first Yamaha. Yamaha is also no stranger to innovation in the guitar space. For example, 2017 saw the launch of the TransAcousticTM guitar--a unique new category of hybrid acoustic guitar offering onboard chorus and reverb effects to provide a more engaging and inspiring playing experience.
