Former NSA Deputy Director Bill Crowell Joins Advisory Board of AI-Powered Cybersecurity Startup CYR3CON

TEMPE, Ariz., Feb. 11, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The artificial intelligence powered cybersecurity startup Cyber Reconnaissance, Inc. (d.b.a. CYR3CON®) has announced today that entrepreneur and former NSA Deputy Director Bill Crowell has joined the company's advisory board. After ending his exemplary government career in the NSA, Mr. Crowell led the public cybersecurity firm, Cylink Corp. as CEO in addition to serving on the boards of BroadWare Technology (as chairman prior to acquisition by CISCO), Sun Microsystems Federal, NARUS, ArcSight, SafeNet and other prominent technology and cybersecurity companies.

"No one else in the industry is doing what CYR3CON does," stated Crowell, "their roots in government-funded research and development have led to platform which is only partially monetized today - I see real potential in long term-growth and look forward to working with the team to further extract that value." Bill seeks to build on CYR3CON's success in predicting the emergence of exploits in their PR1ORITY product. While used by multiple Fortune 500 companies, PR1ORITY represents a small portion of the company's intellectual property portfolio that includes additional technology that builds on their AI-driven platform. "CYR3CON's technological potential extends far beyond their current products - I see this company scaling immensely over the years as they address a myriad of problems through predictive AI - energizing use cases reaching from next-generation cybersecurity prediction to AI-driven efficient IT operations to halting malicious use of social media."

"Bill will be crucial in identifying go-to-market strategies building on and extending our existing technology," stated CYR3CON CTO Jana Shakarian, "kudos to our engineers and all who support them for having done a fantastic job over the past 12 months - we've not only submitted nine patent applications, but also have worked hard to release reliable and resilient technology solutions in a timely manner." CYR3CON has had a busy year delivering significant enhancements to its core product as well as unveiling its FUS1ON product in the fall, which already has earned several customers.

"We are really proud to have Bill join our team," remarked CYR3CON President Greg McNulty, "there is no one else in the industry with a comparable background. Bill will not only be key in identifying how to rapidly push new technology in the market, but he will also be instrumental in some of our ongoing transition of previous government funded efforts to DoD and intelligence community users. I think Bill will be an enabler of growth."

CYR3CON, which has recently closed on a new investor, completed 2019 with enterprise users in multiple Fortune 500 companies in addition to OEM license sales supporting several hundred organizations, and is quickly extending its customer base. The company seeks to establish its quantified predictions of cyber threat as an industry standard as its AI-approach achieves a high level of accuracy and has undergone multiple evaluations through peer-reviews and government-funded agencies.
