NetDocuments Delivers Secure and Collaborative Cloud Platform for Small-Medium Firms

SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 11, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- NetDocuments, the leading secure cloud-based content services platform for law firms, corporate legal teams, and compliance departments, today announced unprecedented growth in 2019 among law firms ranging from one to 75 lawyers.

In 2019, more than 380 organizations have chosen the NetDocuments platform including 127 in Q4 alone. Law firms, corporate law departments and other legal entities now leveraging NetDocuments include Chilton, Yambert, Porter; Molo-Lamken; Oregon State Bar; Pacifica Law Group; and Schuman, McCluskey and Slicer.

According to the ABA TECHREPORT 2019, solo and small firms continue to lead the way in cloud adoption at approximately 60%, with the lowest reported adoption in firms with 50-99 lawyers (44%). This trend of increased cloud adoption and a decrease in typical barriers associated with cloud computing is evidenced by the burgeoning interest in the NetDocuments cloud document management system.

Based on customer feedback and new business success, NetDocuments is addressing the following firm challenges:

-- Document management inefficiencies: NetDocuments delivers ready and
easy, any-time access to files, and the ability to predictively file and
find emails. In addition, the cloud platform includes secure internal
and client providing additional efficiencies and productivity gains.
-- Lack of security: The NetDocuments cloud is providing a new level of
security and governance. Firm documents are encrypted, redundantly
stored and safe from theft, damage, and ransomware.
-- Archaic technology infrastructure: NetDocuments is moving more and more
firms off of legacy, premises solutions, to the cloud. This eliminates
the cost of servers, maintenance, and expert IT resources while adding a
level of security and mobile accessibility that was previously
        unavailable.

"Regardless of size, every law firm and legal department has to manage scores of files, documents, and emails today," commented Brett Burney, Principal of Burney Consultants, a legal technology consulting company. "Regrettably, most of these firms struggle to accomplish this through manual, inefficient, and risk-saturated "systems" of folders with scant security and no protection from files being moved, copied, or deleted. With NetDocuments, firms don't have to outlay immense resources for server hardware or security upgrades because it's all provided for them through the cloud and works on their existing PCs and mobile devices."

"Our firm was very intrigued by the true SaaS, native cloud environment NetDocuments delivers," stated Tim Diller, Executive Director, Pacifica Law Group. "We embraced the concept of one NetDocuments platform for all customers, and the value in knowing that the software you provide is the same for all. NetDocuments is focused on delivering one cloud technology platform versus having to juggle multiple versions and software instances. For us, this means being able to better focus on client service and deliver the most efficient cloud platform."

To better serve NetDocuments customers and prospects, the native cloud provider bolstered its business development group with five new team members and added Mike West, Vice President of SMB Sales, and Reza Parsia, Vice President of Strategic Partner Management. Mike is focused on running the day-to-day operations, Reza is tasked with growing the NetDocuments partner ecosystem, with an emphasis on small to medium law firms.

"Our incredible network of implementation and business partners have a keen understanding of the law firm community and their technology needs," stated Reza Parsia. "We rely on our partners to deliver implementation, consulting, training, and data migration that are second to none helping us deliver on our customer promise to provide future-proof, native cloud technology."

"We are proud of our 2019 accomplishments and even more optimistic about the opportunities ahead in 2020," concluded Mike West. "As smaller firms look to aggressively compete with their BigLaw counterparts, the ability to leverage the NetDocuments platform, just like customers with 1000s of users, to address all of their document, email, and productivity concerns will pay dividends."
