California Science Center Launches "Stuck at Home Science" Activities for Families
LOS ANGELES, March 23, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- The California Science Center's temporary closure and the closure of many school districts due to the Coronavirus has inspired another way to keep Tk-5 students engaged in science learning. "Stuck at Home Science," developed in a collaboration of Science Center's content experts and professional development team, is an ongoing online series of hands-on and age-appropriate science activities. Each activity features a video and an accompanying downloadable lesson that support the Next Generation Science Standards Science and Engineering Practices. Tune in daily at 10 am PST as each day will be new and different. Lessons are easy to understand and available at californiasciencecenter.org in both English and Spanish.

The California Science Center is excited to continue providing engaging experiences for students that directly supplement classroom learning and utilizes easy-to-find supplies that parents are sure to have at home. Each week supports a themed content goal - such as rocketry, food science or engineering - that will be delivered in a daily progression.
