ARInspect Offers Agencies Remote Inspection Capability to Support Economy Reopening

FAIRFAX, Va., April 29, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- ARInspect has accelerated the development of a Remote Inspection capability within their RPA suite of mobility solutions that deliver modernized end-to-end inspection operations. Inspection organizations need to adapt to provide the inspection support when businesses are given the green light to reopen quickly. During the shutdown, backlogs, that have long been a reality for inspection organizations, have grown. Additionally, new COVID-19-related regulations will be introduced to add to the list of compliance measures. Remote Inspections can provide a solution to ensure that businesses and infrastructure are meeting new and existing mandates for safety while ensuring regulating agencies can keep up with the demand and keep inspectors safe.

ARInspect's digital platform uses algorithms to develop risk scores that help agencies prioritize sites that are most likely to be out of compliance or pose a significant danger to the community if they are found to be out of compliance. An additional measure for the complexity of the Inspection has been added, resulting in a COVID-19 risk score. This helps identify which inspections could be conducted remotely, giving agencies multiple options for completing needed inspections:

1. Self Inspection for low risk/low complexity sites- The regulated entity is provided the inspection checklist and process via a self-service portal. They fill it out and submit directly through the portal for inspector review and sign off.

2. Video Inspections for medium risk/medium complexity - Much like an in-person appointment would be scheduled, inspectors send a meeting notice to regulated entities to meet them in a video conference application. Through this connection, the inspector directs the manager of the inspected entity to walk through the traditional process and completes the review remotely.

3. Traditional Inspection for high risk/high complexity -- An inspector would go out the site, as usual, to conduct the Inspection using the mobile application and to follow traditional processes for submission.

If issues are found on a remote inspection that needs further attention, the Inspection can escalate to an in-person, and the inspector can go on-site to complete the needed steps. All of the paperwork, notice of violations, is handled through the agency's portal just as it would be with an in-person inspection. Similarly, a portal and self-inspection approach could be used to allow businesses to self-report compliance with new hygiene and social distancing standards.

"We've always had 'remote inspections' in our development pipeline as a way even further to improve efficiency. When COVID-19 hit, we accelerated those plans and had the solution up and running in one week," said Vivek Mehta, CEO of ARInspect. "We are proud to be able to provide a solution that addresses the immediate challenges of opening the economy back up and will be a key efficiency driver for inspection organizations moving forward."
