Touch-A-Life Foundation Raising Funds to Provide Lunch Assistance to Students During COVID-19

CUPERTINO, Calif., May 12, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Touch-A-Life Foundation, a non-profit organization to support the needy and underprivileged, today announced an effort to help provide lunches to local families in need, during COVID-19.

According to No Kid Hungry, more than 22 million children in the U.S. rely on school for free or reduced lunches. In California alone, 20.7% of children under the age of 18 live in households that experience limited or uncertain availability of safe, nutritious food, according to Feeding America.

Using the TALGiving mobile app for iOS and Android devices, the local community can make monetary donations to help support ongoing COVID-19 lunch assistance program. 100 percent of donations made through the app go directly to those organizations providing food assistance.

"With schools and families hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, our mission is to help them through these difficult times," said Tej Gundavelli, CEO and Co-Founder, Touch-A-Life Foundation. "We are also looking at other ways to serve those most impacted by the pandemic including raising funds for hygiene kits requested by Alum Rock Union School District."

Built on blockchain and AI technologies, TALGiving is designed to facilitate a transparent connection between those in need and those that can provide help and support, through easy-to-use mobile and desktop apps. TALGiving enables both individual and corporate donors to provide educational, food, medical, shelter, and clothing assistance to citizens of all ages--from students to seniors--with just a few taps or clicks.
