Los Angeles County Medical Association to Hold PPE Distribution Event to Aid Small Medical Practices
Event in Partnership with Santa Monica College provides $125,000 in funding, no cost personal protective equipment, telehealth subsidies for physicians in need
Who: Los Angeles County Medical Association (LACMA) in partnership with Santa Monica College What: LACMA to hold PPE Distribution event featuring curbside pickup for nearly 150 physician practices Specifics: -- 6,000 KN95s -- NIH Standard Shields -- 1,000 Hand Sanitizers -- Telehealth Subsidy Program Information -- Office Supplies When: Thursday, May 14, 2020 12 PM to 2 PM Where: Santa Monica College 1900 Pico Boulevard Santa Monica, CA 90405 PPE Pickup Location: Vehicles must enter Parking Lot #1 at Pearl Street, west of 20th Street. (Located behind the Science Building) to pick up, then exit on Pico Blvd. See SMC Main Campus map for exact location of Lot 1. Why: This event is the second to help COVID-19 impacted solo and small medical practices. Since the launch of the LACMA COVID-19 Rapid Response initiative in mid March, nearly 400 medical practices have been helped with financial assistance, PPE supplies and telehealth subsidies, resources and more. Thanks to Santa Monica College, LACMA can provide curbside pickup for physicians.
