Border Patrol Veteran Joins Dignari Advisory Board

Dignari announced today that former CBP and ICE leader Ronald D. Vitiello will join its board of advisors to advance the company’s strategic vision for growth. Vitiello served 34 years of government service within the U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the U.S. Border Patrol. He also served as Acting Director of U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement.

“Ron Vitiello has an extraordinary reputation executing the border security mission, and we are so pleased he has agreed to join Dignari in this advisory role,” said Gena Alexa, Dignari President and CEO. “Vitiello’s expertise will immediately add increased value to the high-quality of work we deliver for our clients.”

Vitiello began his 34 years of government service in Laredo, Texas, with the U.S. Border Patrol in 1985. Mr. Vitiello was one of the key contributors to the unification of CBP and the creation of the Department of Homeland Security. He was named Chief of the U.S. Border Patrol in February 2017.

Mr. Vitiello served for 33 years with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the U.S. Border Patrol most recently as CBP’s Acting Deputy Commissioner. In April 2019, Vitiello retired concluding more than three decades of public service.

Vitiello became Acting Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in June 2018. As ICE’s senior leader, he oversaw a workforce of more than 20,000 officers, special agents, attorneys and mission support professionals with a budget of over $7 billion. He made it a top priority to meet with front line personnel and ensure that employees were heard and supported. He also actively engaged with interagency partners and community stakeholders to promote the importance of ICE’s homeland security and public safety missions.

“The innovative team at Dignari is delivering transformative solutions that make a difference for their clients, including my former colleagues,” Vitiello said. “I’m thrilled to lend my experience to advance solutions for a mission I’m so passionate about.”

“Year after year, the Dignari team strives to deliver quality service to its valued clients. Our goal has always been to include the best and the brightest leaders in law enforcement and national security within our business, and that is why we are so pleased to welcome Ron Vitiello to our board of advisors,” added Alexa.
