Kajeet, Inc. Grants CUJO, LLC Software Patent License for Wireless Mobility Solutions
MCLEAN, Va., June 1, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Kajeet®, a leading wireless and mobility solutions provider and owner of a foundational patent portfolio consisting of 35 issued U.S. patents, today announces that it has reached a settlement with CUJO, LLC that dismisses the patent infringement lawsuit, Civil Action No. 2:20-CV-00253-JAK-PLA, filed against CUJO in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. The settlement resulted in CUJO entering into a license agreement with Kajeet for rights to its patent portfolio.

The license agreement with CUJO is the 8th patent license secured by Kajeet to date in its efforts to provide key market participants with access to its significant inventions and technology. The license demonstrates the importance of the Kajeet patent portfolio to market participants, as well as the company's high-value proposition.
Kajeet is an operating company founded in 2003 with a vision for creating systems and software to enable mobile devices to be used safely and effectively in the Education market as well as in the IoT and Telecommunications markets. From this vision grew a patent portfolio of 35 issued U.S. patents and pending applications directed to four patent families: (1) policy control for mobile/wireless devices; (2) electronic wallets for managing pre-paid and plan-limited mobile devices and shared mobile data plans; (3) selective access control for mobile devices; and (4) sponsored connectivity services for mobile devices. Applications remain pending for all four patent families. Within these patent families there are claims that are applicable to Parental Controls, Mobile Device Management, Shared Data Plans, Sponsored data plans and functions and Employer-Managed Mobile Devices.
