CareTime Software Fully EVV Compliant for Virginia July 1st Deadline

WINTER GARDEN, Fla., June 9, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- CareTime, a leading home care software provider that provides EVV (electronic visit verification), claims and agency management, is proud to announce that it is fully EVV compliant in Virginia. Claims to all payers are being successfully submitted and paid.

CareTime is also fully integrated and live with the Tellus clearinghouse for Anthem, and has been submitting claims to Tellus since February 2020. Submitting to Anthem will require a free portal account with the Tellus clearinghouse to manage claims.

"We are pleased to be one of the most popular options for Virginia home care providers, and excited to partner with the community in maintaining compliance and increasing claims acceptability," stated Jared Schneider, CEO of CareTime. The company is also soon releasing an automatic reconciliation feature that reconciles claims by importing the payer response file. That feature will save hours of admin time from manually reconciling claims.

Virginia home care providers must be fully EVV compliant by selecting a Virginia EVV software by July 1, 2020. Providers will risk being denied claims if they are not compliant by the July 1, 2020 deadline. The Virginia Association for Home Care and Hospice, a provider association, urges home care providers to select an EVV vendor

The mandate from EVV is a federal mandate from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and was enacted by the 2016 21st Century CURES Act. The Act requires that personal home care providers in each state be EVV compliant by January 1, 2021, and by January 1, 2023 for medical home health providers.
