The information is then reported to healthcare practitioners to come up with guidelines for an efficient treatment plan. In addition, technological advancements such as big data and machine learning are also crucial developments for the growth of the wearables market. And, according to Polaris Market Research, the global wearable medical devices market was valued at USD 14.6 Billion in 2019 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 24.8% during the forecast period of 2020 -2027. In addition, earlier in March, according to mHealthIntelligence, San Diego-based SRTI launched DETECT, a national effort to gather data from smartwatches and activity trackers to analyze how activity, heart rate, sleep patterns and other connected health data can be integrated into a public health surveillance program. Participants were asked to upload their data through the MyDataHelps app.
