InventHelp Inventor Presents an Improved Catheter Design (KSC-1497)

PITTSBURGH, Aug. 27, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- "I've had personal injuries as a result of inserting a catheter improperly. I wanted to design something that would prevent a catheter from turning, therefore reducing injuries for myself and others," said the inventor, from Stanberry, M.O. "It greatly reduces a chance of injury and infections when the catheter turns and you do not know it."

The LINED CATHETER features an innovative designed tip catheter to help prevent the unit from inadvertently turning during insertion. It could minimize the risk of injury and subsequent infection and possibly help minimize pain during the process.

The inventor described the invention inspiration. " From my personal injuries, we need something to reduce improper insertion due to the catheter turning and not knowing it has turned."

The original design was submitted to the Kansas City sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
