Westinghouse Engineer Honored as Fellow

The American Nuclear Society (ANS) honored Westinghouse Electric Company VP, Americas Fuel Delivery, Jeffrey L. Bradfute as a Fellow.

An ANS member since 1988, Bradfute is being recognized for his impactful leadership and successful execution of major nuclear industry programs. These have led to the deployment of Westinghouse’s robust portfolio of nuclear fuel products, and engineered services that have enabled the nuclear industry to achieve the highest standards in fuel operational, safety and economic performance.

ANS members are awarded Fellow membership grade for outstanding accomplishment in any one of the areas of nuclear science and engineering. The individual must have compiled a professional record of experience marked by significant contribution to the advancement of one or more of the various disciplines served by the Society.

In addition to Bradfute, ANS elevated Alex R. Burkart, retired advisor for nuclear energy at the U.S. Department of State; Igor Jovanovic, professor of nuclear engineering and radiological sciences at the University of Michigan; Jean C. Ragusa, professor of nuclear engineering at Texas A&M University; Xiaodong Sun, professor of nuclear engineering and radiological sciences at the University of Michigan. The five new Fellows were recognized at the 2021 ANS Winter Meeting.
