Murchison Law Firm Adds Experienced Energy Industry Attorney

The Murchison Law Firm has added experienced energy industry attorney Haley O'Neill to support the firm’s growing representation of pipeline clients in all aspects of their business.

Ms. O’Neill joins the firm after more than five years as in-house counsel for Koch Industries affiliate Flint Hills Resources, a leading refining and pipeline company with over 4,000 miles of pipeline infrastructure and operations, primarily in the Midwest. At Flint Hills, she advised on all of the company’s federal and state matters involving safety, compliance, inspection, and regulations. Ms. O’Neill also served as lead attorney and advisor for new pipeline planning and construction for Flint Hills.

Prior to that, she served for more than five years as senior counsel for Koch, the second-largest privately held company in the United States. In that role, she focused on federal regulatory compliance for pipeline operations and advising on other business and commercial matters.

Ms. O’Neill began her career with the Missouri-based firm of Andereck Evans LLC, and during her seven-year tenure handled a large civil defense caseload where she sat as first-chair on multiple jury trials. During this time, she also served as outside general counsel for multiple Missouri electric cooperatives, managing right-of-way acquisitions, eminent domain proceedings and litigation.

She earned her law degree from the University of Missouri School of Law, with an undergraduate degree from the University of Central Missouri.
