China says reports of defence minister Dong in corruption probe 'pure fabrications'
China on Thursday dismissed media reports that defence minister Dong Jun is under investigation for corruption as "pure fabrications".
"The rumour mongers are ill-intentioned. China expresses its strong dissatisfaction with such slanderous behaviour," Wu Qian, a spokesman for Beijing's defence ministry, told a briefing.
