INTRACOM DEFENSE with a Strong Presence at DEFEA 2025

Koropi, May 14, 2025: INTRACOM DEFENSE (IDE) had a significant presence at the international Defense & Security exhibition "DEFEA 2025", held in Athens, Greece, on 6-8 of May 2025, under the auspices and support of the Hellenic Ministry of National Defense / General Directorate for Defense Investments and Armaments (GDDIA).

Among the visitors to IDE’s exhibition booth were the Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Mr. Vassilis Kikilias, the General Director of GDDIA, Major General Mr. Ioannis Bouras, Chiefs, Deputy Chiefs and official delegations of the General Staffs of the Hellenic Armed Forces, Members of the Parliament and official foreign delegations. Meetings were also held with government representatives and defense industry executives in the context of the implementation of NATO and other international programs of interest.

IDE showcased its advanced technology systems in the areas of Secure Tactical Communications and Command & Control, Hybrid Electric Power Systems, Electronic Missile Systems, as well as its participation in European Defense Research & Development programs co-funded by the European Union, in the fields of Unmanned Systems and Tactical Communications.

It is worth noted that in the context of the exhibition, the company hosted an event with the participation of distinguished guests, including politicians and government officials, Ministry of Defense personnel, representatives of industrial partners and key clients, as well as members of academic and research institutions and journalists.

Τhe CEO of IDE, Mr. George Troullinos, addressed a speech about the company's vision and achievements, which over the past 30 years have established it as a leading defense technology company in Greece. He emphasized its effective response to emerging national security challenges, strong collaborations with local suppliers, subcontractors, global defense organizations, universities, and research institutes to foster innovation, as well as the company’s accelerated growth trajectory following its acquisition by the IAI Group. This growth is driven by investments in new production lines and infrastructure and by strengthening the company’s human capital with new scientific and specialized personnel.

The event was greeted by the Chairman of IDE’s Board of Directors, Mr. Michael Tsamaz, who spoke about the company's focus on innovation, production, and exports, with dynamic investments in new technologies and the aim to strengthen the Hellenic Defense Industry, and Mr. Guy Barlev, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Systems, Missiles & Space Group of Israel Aerospace Industry (IAI), who stated: "Two years ago, IAI made a clear choice. To invest in defense industry in Greece. To partner with IDE, building a shared future. Since then, IDE hasn't just performed. It has delivered, tripling its backlog and consistently increasing its sales, always delivering on time to its loyal customers”.
