Staying Connected Off the Coast: Cobra Electronics Debuts All-New Marine Radios at ICAST 2025

Whether navigating open seas or simply relaxing on the water, Cobra's new BlueBound line keeps adventurers connected on any marine excursion

CHICAGO, July 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- With over sixty years of experience designing two-way radios, Cobra Electronics unveils its latest marine radio technology at ICAST 2025, the world's largest sportfishing tradeshow. Engineered with reliability, safety, and marine-grade functionality in mind, Cobra's new BlueBound VHF marine radios are purpose-built for use on the water.

Designed in the US, the BlueBound line includes four models - three handhelds (150, 350, 650) and one fixed-mount (1350), all combining user-friendly controls with rugged engineering. Perfect for dynamic adventurers, the handheld radios feature a waterproof build with a Signature Orange Floating Core. This makes them easy to spot and grab in adverse conditions, with the addition of a Float n' Flash feature (available on the 350 & 650) that activates a strobe when immersed in water. All the handheld radios feature selectable transmit power and long battery life to optimize range and stay connected underway.

For boaters wanting a more permanent fixture on their vessel, the BlueBound 1350 offers Class-D DSC, built-in GPS, Rewind-Say-Again® voice replay, waterproof DIN connectors on all cables, and more. Keeping safety in mind, all four of Cobra's BlueBound radios provide boaters with 12 weather channels and watch modes that provide instant access to Channel 9 & 16.

"The new Cobra BlueBound line is the next step in our journey to create long-lasting, reliable technology for users on the water - whether that's deep-sea fishing or tubing at the lake," said Jonas Forsberg, CEO of Cedar Electronics, parent company of Cobra Electronics. "We designed this line with those who love the open water in mind, ensuring they stay connected when it matters most- and there is no better place to introduce it than at ICAST."

Attendees of ICAST 2025 can preview the Cobra BlueBound line at Booth #4010 from July 15 to July 18. Attendees can also test the products during ICAST's On the Water Product Demo Day on July 15.

The Cobra BlueBound product line will be available this fall, starting at $99.95. It will be sold through www.cobra.com and other major retail partners across the country.
