Olympic Steel Appoints Joseph L. Casey Director – Manufactured Metal Products
Olympic Steel Inc. (Nasdaq: ZEUS), a leading national metals service center, today announced the promotion of Joseph L. Casey to Director – Manufactured Metal Products, a newly created role in which he will lead the Company’s McCullough Industries and MetalWorks brands. Mr. Casey will continue to report directly to Zachary J. Siegal, President – Manufactured Metal Products.
Mr. Casey joined Olympic Steel in 2012 as part of the start-up of the Integrity Stainless facility in Streetsboro, Ohio. He progressed through several leadership roles including Inventory Control Supervisor, Production Planning Supervisor, Service and Scheduling Manager, Plant Manager and Purchasing Manager. Following Olympic Steel’s 2019 acquisition of McCullough Industries, Mr. Casey assumed the role of General Manager for the Kenton, Ohio, facility.
McCullough Industries experienced significant growth under Mr. Casey’s leadership, including the introduction of several new material handling product lines. In his expanded role, Mr. Casey will oversee operations and continue to accelerate strategic growth, operational excellence and product innovation for both McCullough Industries and MetalWorks.

Mr. Casey is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and a graduate of the Metals Service Center Institute’s Strategic Metal Management Program at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
As part of this planned transition, Nathan Anderson, General Manager of the MetalWorks facility in Oakwood, Georgia, will report directly to Mr. Casey. Ben Houston, President of MetalWorks, plans to retire in December and will continue supporting the team during the leadership transition.
