GEM Elettronica S.r.l. has over 30 years of experience in the field of marine electronics. Its mission is to contribute to the safety of navigation and the evolution of its customers, supplying radars and on-board integrated systems, with innovative technological solutions aimed at value creation.

Today GEM radar systems are in use all around the world in various applications: preventing collisions at sea and on the inland waterways systems, managing water-borne traffic and effecting surveillance of long stretches of remote coastlines and aerospace. These systems depend upon the most advanced data processing techniques for rapid transfer of digital and analog information between sensors, operational control and monitoring stations.

GEM elettronica R&D Laboratory is certified and approved by the Italian Ministry of Research. Our engineers and researchers are currently engaged in R&D activities aimed to develop new state-of-the-art products and technologies. GEM elettronica R&D labs works in close cooperation with the Italian National Research Center (CNR) and several universities.

Blue Box
The Blue Box is a powerful system that can be installed on every type of ship. It performs a continuous check of the on board status and informs the Vessel Tracking Centre through a suitable TLC system (Inmarsat, HF/VHF/UHF radio set, etc.).
