Gulf Cryo, has a proud history, dating back to 1953 when it was established by the founder Mr. Salim Huneidi as the Kuwait Oxygen and Acetylene Co. the company has grown over time in its activities and product range.

For over half a century, Gulf Cryo has played a leading role in producing and distributing industrial, medical and specialty gases across the Arabian Gulf. Today gulf Cryo's capabilities include a considerable pipeline distribution network, the largest merchant air separation production capacity in the region as well as an extensive network of sixteen facilities producing and distributing acetylene, carbon dioxide, dry ice, hydrogen, nitrous oxide, specialty and medical gases. With operations in seven countries and the region's largest and newest distribution fleet, Gulf Cryo is uniquely qualified to provide the products, services and technical support our customers demand.

Our strategy of geographic and product expansion combined with a growing economy have helped fuel double digit annual growth over the last 5 years serving sectors such as Oil & Gas, Metals, Chemicals, Glass, Pharmaceuticals, Food & Beverages, Health Care and many others. The growth stems from principals and values that have remained unchanged since we were founded 57 years ago and today makes gulf Cryo the largest privately owned manufacturer, distributor and service provider of industrial, medical and specialty gases in the Arabian Gulf supported by a proud team of over 600 professionals.
