KIRVIT TECHNOLOGIES, was established in 2001, as a result of the need to formalize the research and development of flight simulation activities, providing virtual pilots training, with the use of advanced equipment, such as Microsoft® Flight Simulator 2002 and Home Flight Simulator, among others. Currently, KIRVIT TECHNOLOGIES is a technology based company dedicated to the design and development of innovative, practical, and efficient software solutions, as an answer to the specific needs of the transportation industry. Its strong and structured policies and organization constitute the cornerstone of the Company’s performance, which is known for its high quality and levels of innovation and technology.

The Company’s design and research tools result in high performance flight and vehicle simulation systems and techniques, with the support of skilled, professional and committed human talent. Among the Company’s achievements in the aeronautical area, are the Flight Training Devices (FTD) developed for the Army Aviation School, the Police Aviation School, the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, the National Army, as well as several FTDs sold in Colombia, USA, Ecuador and Peru. It is worth mentioning that the Company upgraded the MI-17 Helicopter simulator with the integration of different technologies, coming from several countries, along with the installation of a 180° screen.

In relation to driving simulation technologies, KIRVIT TECHNOLOGIES has made a lot of progress in the design and manufacture of different solutions to support training in cars, buses and articulated vehicles.

With regard to the software design, the Company has developed the software components that support its flight simulation systems. Its software is of advanced technology for the administration and operation of the training processes. Among KIRVIT TECHNOLOGIES’ most distinguished software solutions are Zephyrus, a software designed and developed by the Company for the support and automation of the flight instructor functions.

Additionally, KIRVIT has ventured into other areas of the general industry with the provision of electronic control systems, among other important developments.

CENTRO DE ENTRENAMIENTO AERONÁUTICO KIRVIT - KIRVIT AVIATION TRAINING CENTRE: The Colombian Civil Aviation Authority granted recently the Company and its Aviation Training Centre “CENTRO DE ENTRENAMIENTO AERONÁUTICO KIRVIT” with the title of an authorized aviation training centre.

KIRVIT AVIATION TRAINING CENTRE is able to provide the aviation industry with a new option for pilot training and evaluation, including the best and most modern jet aircraft flight simulator manufactured in Colombia and developed by KIRVIT. This simulator resembles uniquely the A320 cabin at scale 1:1 with all its fully functional operating systems, instructor seat with fault panels and versatility to make it the best option for optimal preparation.

The Colombian Civil Aviation Authority has granted KIRVIT ATC “CENTRO DE ENTRENAMIENTO AERONÁUTICO KIRVIT” with the Aviation Training Centre Certificate No. 059 enabling the Company to carry out the following training programs:

  • Jet aircraft Training,
  • Commercial Airline Transition.

Amongst the Company’s team of professionals, are highly qualified people for the development and management of technology projects, with more than 20 years of experience in this area. In the last few years, KIRVIT developed a new business line focused on expanding the possibilities of the market, with the provision of consulting services to enterprises with difficulties in managing IT processes.

Throttles Set

This is a simulation module that operates in single or twin engine propeller airplanes. The set comes with six handles and four controllers for the operation of flaps, AutoFeather, Syncro and Parking Brakes. Connection by USB port with no need for an external energy supplier.

Set of Pedals

KIRVIT TECHNOLOGIES manufactures pedal sets for flight simulators. These pedal systems have a metallic structure for more realistic aircraft manoeuvres.

Radio Stacks

KIRVIT TECHNOLOGIES manufactures radio stacks for flight simulators. Its operation is based on the Bendix King® radio stack, commonly used in military and civil aviation.
The radio stack is equipped with 60 keys, 8 displays and 14 control knobs in seven fully functional modules, as well as Microsoft Flight Simulator software as in the original equipment.

The simulation modules are:

Flight Simulator Consoles

KIRVIT TECHNOLOGIES manufactures flight simulator consoles for flight training, allowing the pilot to control the engine ignition system, electrical system, fuel system, lights panel, engine trims, landing gear operation with related indicators, the communications, the barometric pressure and two analogous instruments, the ampere-meter and the vacuum meter.

In addition to them, the console is equipped with other visual devices, namely, hour meters, thermometers and ILS - OMI indicators, offering the console an excellent presentation and great realism.

Flight Simulation Cabins

These flight simulation cabins simulate turbine or engine powered aircraft. The equipment has 128 controllers allowing the training for abnormal and emergency procedures. It operates similarly to a PC device and can be connected to a USB port.

Configurations on Request

Flight Trainer KMC-18: Equipment made to support the training of the Colombian National Navy. It simulates a Beechcraft King Air 350 aircraft with all its operating systems and is equipped with an instructor station for training and the control of faults. This system allows for VFR, IFR, CRM and flight communications training, as well as customization options, including the selection of flight corridors, flight departure and destination, meteorological conditions and fuels.

Flight Trainer Wright Trainer 2003: This is a double command flight simulation cabin of a turbojet aircraft for the training for abnormal and emergency procedures. It allows visual flight training, flight communications training and loft flight training. This flight trainer is located at the facilities of KIRVIT and is ideal for the training of professionals and students.

Flight Cabin CPT C-130: This is a product developed for the Air Command of Military Transportation of the Colombian Air Force and was created with the objective of simulating the functionalities of the engine activation system of the Hercules C-130 aircraft, making easier crew instruction and training. The simulation system is equipped with original instrumentation, properly adapted to operate with the simulation software developed exclusively by KIRVIT. The system has realistic environmental sounds and failure system and its fuel controllers are positioned in the same location as these of a real aircraft.

Technological updates

Helicopter MI-17 Flight Simulator:

ORIGINAL APPEARANCE OF FLIGHT SIMULATOR: This is a Russian flight simulator with the high fidelity cockpit of the MI-17 helicopter, three-axis hydraulic motion system and visual system supported by two black and white monitors.

SCOPE OF TECHNOLOGICAL MODERNIZATION: The visual system was upgraded and a new navigation system was implemented. The project included the design and development of new training scenarios.
