PLACA S.A., is a Colombian company situated in Bogotá that deals with the manufacture and marketing of plastic containers. The company forms an integral part of the group CHAID Neme Hermanos S.A., an investment company consisting of three divisions: industrial, commercial and construction.
PLACA S.A. was founded in 1988 and is a leading provider of packaging solutions to food, beverage and other consumer products such as lubricants, automotive additives, cosmetics, toiletries, food and pharmaceutical products. The company is able to produce containers ranging from 60 ml to 20 liters, as well as caps, lids, dispensers and other products.
PLACA S.A. has been certified under ISO 9001:2008 quality certification and already exports its products to several countries such as Venezuela, Ecuador, Panama and Costa Rica. The company has also national and international alliances, which allows it to open to new markets.

Design Services
PLACA S.A. provides design services for the generation of physical and visual models as well as for mold making, using software such as PRO-Engineering, Autocad, Corel Draw, Rhinoceros, Flamingo and Bongo.
Additionally, the company has an industrial workshop for mold adjustment and maintenance as well as tool manufacturing, equipped with CAD-CAM and CNC software.
Injection Process Services
The process uses resins such as PP, HDPE, PS, SAN and engineering resins such as ABS and Nylon, for the special manufacture of automotive wheel covers and other automotive parts, which can be reinforced with mineral or fiberglass in order to improve their mechanical properties. PLACA S.A. is equipped with injection molding machines of a manufacturing capacity of up to 326 grams and a clamping force of up to 130 tons.
PET Blowing Process Services
PET blowing process is used to design and manufacture PET containers in different forms, shapes and sizes according to the customer's needs. PLACA S.A.’s machinery is capable of manufacturing containers ranging from 150 ml to 5 liters.
Silkscreen Printing Services
Silkscreen printing is a process that uses direct ink transfer with the help of latest graphic designing methods in order to print the container surface with one or more colors and give the final touch to the product. PLACA S.A. uses UV printing machines and Pantone colors, in order to ensure the mechanical and chemical resistance of prints and color uniformity.
Labeling and other services
- Labeling: In order to provide better client services, PLACA S.A. offers product identification labeling on the packages according to the customer needs.
- Tampography: The company can also provide pad printing services, where the desired image is etched into a metal plate.
- Hot stamping: PLACA S.A. also offers hot stamping services, a dry printing method in which a heated die and foil are used to apply graphics to a surface.

PLACA S.A. can manufacture packaging for agro-industrial, food, cosmetic, grooming, lubricant, promotional, pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical rubber products, as well as products for the automotive sector.
