ARSAT

ARSAT’s mission is to assume a strategic role in implementing governmental policies in the areas of telecommunications, broadcasting and internet, as well as increase the provision of broadcasting, telecommunications and satellite-based services in Argentina for commercial, public, private and government-run applications.

The vision of the Company is to emerge as Argentina’s technology leader in all forms of telecommunications and serve as a useful tool to maximize the potential of the region.

Thanks to the domestic manufacture of satellite technology, Argentina has developed its own satellite meaning that it does not depend on international satellite operators.

The Arsat 1 satellite was launched in 2014 and offers a wide array of telecommunications services such as television, telephony and Internet access, among others, with full coverage in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay. Arsat 2 and Arsat 3 are also on their way.

Benavidez Ground Station: The station is equipped with the necessary infrastructure to serve as the base for all operations related to signal transmission and reception, as well as satellite control. Additionally, the station plays a key role in the implementation of Direct-To-Home Television and Terrestrial Digital Television services.
