ASTILLERO RIO SANTIAGO is a shipyard located in the city of Ensenada, Buenos Aires Province at the shores of the Santiago River. It has been one of the major active and important shipyards in Latin America. Founded in 1953, it has realized diverse projects in the naval, industrial and railroad sectors.
ASTILLERO RIO SANTIAGO has a technical management staff that manages the different areas of work, such as design and development of ships, armament, electricity, waterway planning, machinery, structure, basic projects, etc. It also has a Department of Quality Control that verifies that works are in compliance with International Norms and Registries.
Among the Company’s main products are warships, such as corvettes, frigates, landing ships and destroyers, as well as merchant ships, such as multipurpose ships, container ships and grain ships. Additionally, the Company manufactures lightweight and patrol vessels.
