GENERAL INFORMATION

The AVIATION INDUSTRY CORPORATION OF CHINA (AVIC) was founded on November 6th, 2008 through the restructuring and consolidation of the China Aviation Industry Corporation I (AVIC I) and the China Aviation Industry Corporation II (AVIC II). The Company is centered on aviation and provides complete services to customers in many sectors ranging from research and development to manufacture and financing. AVIC’s business units cover the defense sector, the automotive sector, transport aircraft, engines, helicopters, avionics and systems, general aviation services, research and development services, flight tests, trade and logistics, assets management, financial services, engineering and construction services and more. The Company has over 140 subsidiaries and more than 500,000 employees in total.

AVIC is committed to the commercial transportation industry, cooperating with global partners and actively participating in the development of international programs. The Company is the Tier I supplier of ARJ-21 and C919 aircraft and produces parts and components for aircraft manufacturers and engine makers worldwide.

AVIC has built core competencies in the manufacture and high-tech industry. The Company integrates aviation science and technology into automotive, motorcycle, engine, components and spare parts and develops products and technologies, such as gas turbine, refrigeration equipment, electrical devices, environment protection equipment and new energy technologies. Apart from the aviation services offered by AVIC, the Company manufactures electronic products, such as LCDs, circuit boards and new energy products, namely lithium batteries.

AVIC has developed global competitiveness and expertise in civil engineering projects, such as airport construction, cement factory design and construction, power plant construction, rail transportation, highway bridges, vocational education, mobile hospitals, garbage incineration, power generation, etc. Several projects have been successfully carried out in Asia, Africa and South America.
