Groupement de la Promotion de l’Industrie Mécanique (Epic-GPIM) and the Emirati group Tawazun together with its subsidiary NIMR-Automotiv recently finalized a framework cooperation agreement for the development and assembling of Armoured personnel carrier. The production of these "special vehicles" is to be carried out through a mixed capital company, NIMR Algeria SPA, which reportedly will employ 400-450 Algerian people in a factory located in Khenchela.
