Since STX ENGINE CO. LTD., launched as a diesel engine manufacturer in 1976, it has been absolutely filling the very essential role to make world-leading Korean shipbuilding industries.

STX ENGINE has manufactured high-tech medium-speed diesel engines, which have been sharing 70% of the domestic market. The Company produces various engines for the defense industry (such as K1AI tanks, K-9 self-propelled howitzers and military vessels), THE civilian industry (such as container ships, LNG carriers, oil tankers, fishers and locomotives), and diesel engine power plants.

The Company exports more than 90% of the whole marine diesel engines and multifarious power plants of its own to Asian, European, Middle Eastern and African markets.

With considerable concern towards the environment, STX ENGINE has expanded its business activities to the Alternative Energy and Environmental sector through the provision of solutions, such as Solar Power Systems, Wind Turbine Systems, FGD (Flue Gas Desulfurization), EP (Electrostatic Precipitators) and De-NOx systems.
