Since it was founded in 1989, M.E.P. has been developing and supplying Voice Communication Systems for critical applications in the Maritime and Aviation sectors. Traffic controllers worldwide rely on the company's systems. Thanks to their continuous innovation, M.E.P. offers new solutions that improve safety and traffic flows.

Main systems
Air traffic is prohibited without Voice Communication. These systems must function effectively every second, every minute, every hour of the day and night, throughout the whole year. Safety is the most important criterion. Rigorous guidelines and standards have been established for the development of air traffic systems. The ED137 guidelines are the most relevant for VCS systems. The main systems at many airports have been implemented to be completely redundant. This is to limit risks as far as possible, even during equipment failure, and to guarantee continuity of air traffic control. MEP supplies solid, reliable systems that deliver continuous service. The company's well-designed operator consoles display exactly the information that is relevant to air traffic controllers. For example, using the crash-alarm function, they can inform and instruct all relevant institutions in a single action with 1 touch of a button.

Last resort systems
There have been instances in aviation history in which an airports main system was (temporarily) out of order. MEP supplies Last Resort Systems to ensure safe continuity of air traffic control in such situations. These systems can be installed entirely independently of the main system. That is, without dependence on the infrastructure (wiring, electricity, etc.) utilised by the main system. The scalability of our solutions makes MEP an attractive partner in this regard.
