Florida Space Coast Airshow Spectators Help Sky Divers with Massive America Flag

TITUSVILLE, Fla., Feb. 21, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- One of the longest running air shows in the country is set to open March 15, 16 and 17 at the Space Coast Regional Airport in Titusville, Florida. The show, one of the longest running air shows in the country, has selected the Air Sports Parachute Team to open up the 2018 Space Coast Warbird AirShow. This year the show theme is "Gathering of Warbirds" and will begin with a skydive demonstration featuring one of the largest American Flags in the Country.

"Our Air Sports Parachute Team was asked to raise the bar for Air Show Openings at the annual Space Coast Warbird Airshow. Instead of typical 3-4 jumpers we chose a full team of 25 professionals covering all parachuting disciplines including massive U.S.Flags and dangerous high speed canopies," said Chuck Julian Jump Master.

Marking its 42nd year, Air Sports Parachute Team joins an incredible array of warbirds, fighters, and expert aerial displays, and it all starts with the unraveling of the most massive American Flag (5,000 sq/ft).

"We wanted to produce an Airshow opening with much larger and more comprehensive demonstrations with the focus of bringing the show closer to the spectators," Julian continued.

Air Sports Parachute Team is a leader in innovative sky entertainment events all over the country. With hundreds of highly skilled skydivers to choose from, the Air Sports Parachute Team selects the top jumpers to perform the best sky entertainment possible.

Unraveling a giant American Flag takes highly skilled jumpers and it is just the start of the annual Brevard County event. Throughout the opening act you will see, high-speed canopy jumpers hitting targets on the ground with pinpoint precision, Fireworks, vapor trails and much more.

Last year at the Space Coast Warbird Airshow, Air Sports Parachute Team deployed multiple, extraordinarily large U.S. Flags. And since these flags need to be treated with the same respects for all flags, the spectators were asked to help re-fold the flags.

This exercise also enables the jumpers to get up close and personal with spectators at the event.

"We like interacting with the crowd," said Julian, "The big flags help us do that. It's a chance for the spectators that come and meet the jumpers and learn a bit about the safety precautions we practice and how the equipment works."

It's difficult to get an authentic feel of the massive size of these flags until you have had a chance to try to hold them in a breeze! With two full days of non-stop flying on Saturday and Sunday. Don't miss the East Coasts finest warbird aviation event!
