The indicative scope of works covers the following elements:
1. Sewerage network:
- Phase I: Construction of the main collector, pumping station for transfer of collected wastewater from the urban area and connections of II and III phase.
- Phases II and III: Construction of wastewater network with total length of L=13,793 m.
2. Wastewater Treatment Plant:
Design and Construction of a Conventional Activated Sludge Process with Biological Nutrient Removal (CAS with BNR) and aerobic sludge stabilization, for 20,000 PE.
The indicative scope of works covers the following elements:

Phase I:
- Pumping station (150 l/s) for transfer of collected wastewater from the urban area;
- Main collector (gravity collector DN500; inlet part to pumping station with the length of 21 m; pressure line DN300 L=65 m; gravity collector DN400 L=622 m, low pressure line DN400 L=804 m, gravity collector DN400 L=445 m)
- Connections of II and III phase: DN250 L=71 m, pumping station Q=1.8 l/s, H=8.7 m and pressure line DN63 L=15 m.
Phases II and III:
- Wastewater network with total length of L=13,793 m. (Lengths of the Phase II and Phase III are 5,529 m and 8,264 m, respectively.
Construction of Phase I, Phase II and III will serve to 4500 inhabitants.
2. Wastewater Treatment Plant
Design and Construction of a Conventional Activated Sludge Process with Biological Nutrient Removal (CAS with BNR) and aerobic sludge stabilization, for 20,000 PE.
Peak dry weather flow = 208 m³/h (58 l/s).
Peak wet weather flow = 400 m³/h (111 l/s).
The proposed WWTP shall include the following units: Inlet chamber, Coarse screens with screenings washing and compaction, Inlet pumping station, Preliminary treatment (Fine screens with screenings washing and compaction, Aerated grit chamber, Grit washing and separation), Biological treatment (activated sludge process with nutrient removal), Sludge treatment, Septic sludge reception station, Odour removal, Plant infrastructure, fences, access and internal roads with greenery, Utility connections: Access road (16 m); Power supply; Water supply (DN100, ~230m); Telecom.
Works will be implemented according to FIDIC Yellow Book (1999 ed).
Total expected duration of the contract is 48 months including 12 months of Defects Notification Period.
The Municipality of Rožaje intends to conduct open international procedure for selection of contractor. The selection procedure will be conducted through the procedure as specified in the practical guide for European Union external action (PRAG) and EIB Guide to Procurement (2018).
