Clarion Helps American Red Cross Prevent and Alleviate Human Suffering Around the Globe

CYPRESS, Calif., June 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Clarion Corporation of America, in conjunction with Barrett-Jackson, announced today that American Red Cross has joined the Clarion Builds program as the official charity organization for the program's Acura NSX project. Clarion's one-of-a-kind, fully restored and tastefully modified Clarion Builds 1991 Acura NSX is expected to generate considerable attention and enthusiasm among car collectors and automotive enthusiasts this fall when it crosses the auction block at Barrett-Jackson's Las Vegas Auction, October 19-21 at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of the NSX will be donated to the American Red Cross, allowing the iconic car to fulfill its mission's final objective - raising a substantial donation for a worthy charity!

"Charity cars have been a longstanding tradition at our auctions, and we are thrilled to once again partner with Clarion on this initiative," said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. "There is always tremendous excitement and emotion as our charity cars, like this Acura NSX, cross the block, because they help deserving organizations like the American Red Cross."

In 2015, the Clarion Builds program awarded Barrett-Jackson the "Official Auction Partner" title for the program's maiden build of an iconic 1974 BMW 2002 Resto-Mod. In April 2016, the sprightly little 2002 was auctioned off as a charity car at Barrett Jackson's Palm Beach event - raising $125,000 for TGen Foundation to support cancer research. Barrett-Jackson is recognized worldwide as the leading collector car auction house and will be instrumental in collaboratively marketing the Clarion Builds Acura NSX to prospective buyers before it crosses the auction block in Las Vegas.

"We created the Clarion Builds program as a way to connect with car enthusiasts around the world by giving them a front-row seat as we breathe new life into iconic classis cars. Each rebuild is a unique journey which ultimately concludes with Clarion giving back to the community through a charity of our choice," said Paul S. Lachner, President of Clarion Corporation of America. "We are very excited to again work with Barrett-Jackson to market our beautifully restored and meticulously upgraded Acura NSX to their unmatched global audience of automotive collectors and enthusiasts. The Clarion Builds NSX is a very special car that was purposefully rebuilt to be enjoyed on the streets and dominate on the track. We're thrilled the passionate efforts that went into the restoration of this car will end up benefitting the American Red Cross, and through them, helping millions of people in need.

Clarion and its key partners for each project, including Barrett-Jackson and The American Red Cross, aim to unite fans and fully integrate them as a part of the program through both social and traditional media engagements. Additionally, Clarion and its partners work collaboratively to provide a great deal of detailed content designed to generate excitement and encourage fan participation as each project progresses through various stages of the build process.

"We are proud of all the work that Clarion and the Builds partners put into creating truly unique pieces of automotive history and are honored that the proceeds from the sale of their incredible 1991 Acura NSX will be donated to support the humanitarian efforts of the American Red Cross," said Linda Voss, CEO of American Red Cross, Orange County Chapter.
