NCOIC Adds Boeing, AFCEA Leaders with Interoperability Expertise
WASHINGTON, June 15, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Network Centric Operations Industry Consortium announced today that Erich Staudacher, general manager of AFCEA Europe, has joined the NCOIC Advisory Council and Chris Ahsmann, vice president of mission systems at Boeing Defense, Space & Security, has been named to the NCOIC board of directors. The two will serve with other public and private sector leaders to address cross-domain interoperability issues that affect multi-national communication and collaboration.
At the non-profit AFCEA International, Erich Staudacher works with the military, academia, government and industry to help advance global security. He retired from the German Armed Forces as major general in 2016 after a 42-year career. He served in combat missions based in Italy and Uzbekistan, commanded the Technical Group at Lechfeld Air Base and served as deputy commander of the German Armed Forces Support Command. In addition to his command assignments, Staudacher served in a variety of senior leadership positions for the German Armed Forces, the German Airforce and the Foreign Service of the Federal Republic of Germany.

In joining the NCOIC board, Chris Ahsmann is taking the place of Rick Baily, vice president of Boeing Test & Evaluation, who is retiring. Ahsmann will carry on the tradition of support from Boeing, one of the founding companies of NCOIC in 2004. "Chris Ahsmann will be a great addition to our leadership team. He has a global perspective as well as diverse experience in engineering, mission assurance and program management," said Raduege.
