World's Largest Car Rental Company Gives Canadian Economy Nearly $2.8 Billion Boost

In fiscal year 2016, Enterprise Holdings' impact on the Canadian economy was nearly $2.8 billion.

Hiring and Business Growth
New and expanding Enterprise airport and neighbourhood locations and business lines have resulted in hiring in every province throughout Canada. More than 500 new employees were hired into Enterprise's award-winning Management Training Program last year, which teaches college and university graduates how to run a business, empower teams and provide excellent face-to-face customer service. A major driver of the company's promote-from-within culture is the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Management Training Program, which is consistently successful in developing new hires into the next generation of business leaders.
With continued growth, expansion, and promotions, Enterprise anticipates steady hiring this year. In fact, Enterprise Holdings' diverse brand portfolio accounts for more than 750 fully staffed neighborhood and airport locations and more than 5,400 employees across the country. Community and Local Partnerships

Also, in late 2016, Enterprise's Foundation announced one of the largest donations ever aimed at fighting hunger around the globe. The program - called Fill Your Tank - celebrates the company's 60th anniversary by providing $60 million to address food insecurity. As part of the donation, Food Banks Canada is receiving $1.5 million annually for six years to support operations and infrastructure in food banks across Canada. Additionally, each Enterprise Holdings' regional subsidiary receives an allotment to support local food banks and food bank charities of their choice, as well.
