Former Deputy Under Secretary of Defense, Captain Alan Haggerty, USN Retired, Joins The Beacon Group as Senior Advisor
PORTLAND, Maine, June 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Beacon Group welcomes Captain Alan Haggerty, USN Retired, as Senior Advisor for the firm's Aerospace, Defense and Government practice. Captain Haggerty will work alongside Senior Vice President of Defense Matt Keegan and Beacon's President and Chairman Cliff Farrah.
A tenured professional with an impressive career working both for the government and in the private sector, Captain Haggerty has hands-on success in Naval technology development, system acquisition and innovation leadership.

Captain Haggerty formerly served as Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for International Technology Security, Office of The Secretary of Defense. As advisor to the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (USD AT&L) and Director of Defense Research and Engineering (DDR&E) he counseled on defense export control policy, and on matters of international science and technology cooperation, technology security, space systems security, counterintelligence and industrial base protection.
