New Honda Fit Arrives at Austin Dealership

AUSTIN, Texas, July 25, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The latest version of Honda's subcompact hatchback is now available at an Austin-area dealership. The Howdy Honda inventory now includes the 2018 Honda Fit. The latest version of the car offers a new trim level and two new color options along with multiple new features.

Under the hood of the 2018 Honda Fit will be a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. Performance numbers on the engine are rated at 130 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque. Two transmission options are offered on the car; a continuously variable transmission (CVT), or a six-speed manual transmission.

The hatchback body style of the 2018 Honda Fit allows the car to offer 16.6 cubic feet of storage space, with the rear seats in place. With the rear seats folded down, this number increases to 52.7 cubic feet.

2018 Honda Fit models will be offered in four trim levels. The LX, EX and EX-L trims return from previous years and are joined by the new Sport model. Each trim level offers a different collection of standard features and systems. Highlights from this list of available equipment include:

    --  Leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.
    --  Push-button start.
    --  Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
    --  Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and HondaLink connectivity.

For the 2018 model year, the Fit will now offer the Honda Sensing suite of driver assistance features on all models. This available suite of systems includes:

    --  Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).
    --  Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS).
    --  Forward Collision Warning (FCW).
    --  Lane Keeping Assist (LKAS).
    --  Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) with Lane Departure Warning (LDW).
