Rear View Safety Introduces Safety Compatibility Mat for FMVSS 111

The Brooklyn-based company, which turns 10 this year, is proud to introduce the RVS-SCM Safety Compatibility Mat. The RVS-SCM is used to test compliance with the new Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 111 law.
The new requirement regulates a necessary view behind a vehicle. In vehicles with limited rear vision, installation of a backup camera which provides the necessary rear view will be mandatory. The rule impacts vehicles under 10,000 pounds gross, with phase-in effective by May 2017 and full compliance required by May 2018.
