Smithers Viscient Experts to Offer Three Presentations at the 2017 Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry World Congress and North American Annual Meeting

Smithers Viscient, a global contract research organization (CRO), has announced that its scientists will present three posters at the 2017 Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) World Congress and North American Annual Meeting being held November 12-16 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

“Each year we eagerly anticipate the SETAC Annual Meeting to share ideas, experiences and insights with others in the industry as we all seek to raise the bar for excellence in environmental toxicology and chemistry,” said Susan Shepherd, President of Smithers Viscient. “We look forward to presenting this year and learning from our colleagues and clients throughout the week.”

  • Monday, November 13 – 8 a.m. – “Soil Metabolism of [14C]acetaminophen in Two Soil Types Using Various Soil Aliquot Sizes,” authored and presented by Sean McLaughlin, Research Director, Smithers Viscient (additional authors: Aleksandra Dean, Dan Koch and Roxanne Brackett)
  • Wednesday, November 15 – 8 a.m. – “Establishing the Functional Equivalency of the Negative and Solvent Control for EPA 10-Day Spiked Sediment Testing in Support of FIFRA Registration,” authored and presented by Brian Snow, Smithers Viscient Biologist
  • Thursday, November 16 – 8 a.m. – “Field Evaluation of the Potential for Avian Exposure and Toxicological Effects Following the Planting of Clothianidin-Treated Corn Seed,” authored by Larry Brewer, Technical Director, Wildlife Toxicology, Smithers Viscient

The SETAC World Congress and North American Annual Meeting is the preeminent gathering of more than 2,500 scientists, assessors, regulators and managers from throughout the environmental toxicology and chemistry industries.
