The concept for the Technology for Precision Health Summit was developed by Summit Chair Linda K. Molnar, an entrepreneur and expert in Precision Medicine and Precision Health, who saw the need for discussion between experts in Precision Medicine and those working in and investing in Digital Health.

"I believe that an exciting future where science coupled with data analysis will allow us to not only treat patients based on their individual biology and prevent recurrence, but also predict and prevent disease," said Linda K. Molnar. "Rather than waiting until we feel ill and go to the doctor to be diagnosed with disease, we will be able to diagnose a 'pre-disease state' while there is still time to avoid disease with the proper interventions. Collaborating with Health 2.0 made a lot of sense given their focus on patient engagement and Digital Health technologies."

Matthew Holt, Co-Chairman of Health 2.0, has been showcasing cloud technology based companies and tools that use sensors to track patients and manage workflow at Health 2.0 's annual conference.

"We've been featuring both the role of precision health and the data, genomics and diagnostic technologies behind that term at Health 2.0 for a while," said Matthew Holt. "We felt that it was time to dedicate an entire conference to the topic and its role impacting clinical decisions, clinical research and patient care. That's why Health 2.0 is thrilled to be hosting the Technology for Precision Health Symposium."

Registration is open for the Technology for Precision Health Summit. Media interested in covering the conference can complete a press pass application.
