Visa and Perch Security Partner to bring Visa Threat Intelligence to SMB merchants
TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Perch has teamed up with Visa in a technology partnership with Perch Security's Community Defense Platform to expand the reach of Visa Threat Intelligence (VTI) to a broad base of merchants.
Visa Threat Intelligence is an essential enterprise security offering for businesses that accept, store and process payment data. It provides high-quality, low-false-positive and breach-validated Indicators of Compromise (IoC), along with expertly curated threat analysis, to help security operations detect and protect against attacks targeting payment data.
Combining Perch and Visa Threat Intelligence helps to operationalize VTI data, and enables a hassle-free experience for companies who want or need support to consume it efficiently. Integrating Visa's Threat Intelligence data with Perch's services helps meet that goal, in the form of an intuitive user interface and a managed security operations service.
Perch will enable businesses subscribing to Visa Threat Intelligence with the tools needed to consume that intelligence data automatically. It continually monitors the customer's network for any sign of threats (based on VTI data). Perch provides an easy-to-use web interface and an in-house team of analysts who further analyze detected IoC's and notify the customer with recommended action when malicious activity is detected on their network. This is especially meaningful for smaller and mid-sized businesses, who may lack the funds to invest in the more complex solutions, training and additional staff traditionally required to consume threat intelligence data effectively.
