Prima-Temp Announces New Team and New International Initiative

BOULDER, Colo., Feb. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Prima-Temp, the company that has patented wireless, continuous core body temperature monitoring to address a variety of physiological health challenges and empowers users to engage in their own health and well-being, announced new management team to scale up and launch the PRIYA fertility sensor with international partner, Gedeon Richter, LLC.

"After nearly 3 years helping Prima Temp bring this technology into reality, I am pleased to join as CEO," said Alene A. Campbell. "As we gear up to launch the revolutionary PRIYA fertility system this year internationally with our top tier partner, Gedeon Richter, we are bringing on a strong operational team led by our new Vice President of Operations, Carrie Kellman, recently of Kindara."

"Connectivity is the driving force in consumer technology," said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®,( )producer of the International CES. "As the Internet of Things (IoT) evolves, connected devices will impact every facet of our lives, particularly our health and wellness. Products like Prima-Temp's are finding innovative ways to leverage the IoT and make our daily routines easier and more efficient."

As the first U.S.-based company to offer a sophisticated sensor that continuously measures true core body temperature, Prima-Temp's first product will be the most precise and effortless method for women to pinpoint their fertile window without having to actively engage in data collection. This self-inserted, wireless temperature sensor continuously and passively tracks a woman's core body temperature, detecting the subtle changes that occur before ovulation, then sends an alert to her smartphone when she is most fertile.

Research suggests that couples trying-to-conceive are often encouraged to pursue invasive, expensive infertility treatments before more natural approaches are exhausted. Research has also shown that only 13% of women can accurately identify their fertile window (Source). Fertility awareness is essential for couples trying-to-conceive; understanding reproductive health and natural fertility signs can help couples avoid costly infertility treatments altogether.

Prima-Temp has raised over ten million dollars in funding, established a world-class leadership and development team, received two issued patents and has garnered awards. Recently Gedeon Richter, a world leader in Women's Health, completed a licensing and distribution agreement with Prima-Temp to commercialize Priya globally expect for the United States and Canada.
