Asphalt Inc., LLC Announces Expanded Operations

Asphalt Inc., LLC has expanded operations in Texas. The company now has three lines of business under the assumed names of Lone Star Aggregates, Asphalt Inc. and Lone Star Paving. Collectively, they form the State’s premier vertically integrated paving company, providing aggregate mining, asphalt manufacturing, and asphalt paving services.

Lone Star Aggregates, which runs the company’s aggregate division, is pleased to announce its two new quarry locations in Florence and New Braunfels, with a third location planned and permitted in Marble Falls. Asphalt Inc., the division tasked with running the company’s asphalt manufacturing business, recently added three new plants in Florence, Kerrville, and New Braunfels. The three new plants join the company’s existing plants in east Austin and Spicewood and give the company a strong foothold in the entirety of the Central Texas region.

Lone Star Paving, the division that performs the company’s asphalt paving services, has opened a new corporate office in Temple. With this new office, Lone Star has divided into three divisions – South Texas, Central Texas and North Texas. The new divisions will be headed by Division Presidents Allen Knox (Central), Ryan Ohlendorf (South), and Joe Naivar (North). In addition, Asphalt Inc., LLC has named Dean Lundquist the Chief Operating Officer and Greg Morisey the President. All five will report directly to the CFO, Steve Spinn and CEO, Jack Wheeler.

Joe Naivar and Greg Morisey will join Joshua Condon, Deputy General Counsel as the newest members to the company’s executive team which includes Ben Carroll, Thomas Playfair, Allen Knox, Ryan Ohlendorf, Dean Lundquist, Steve Spinn, Jack Wheeler and John Ramming, Chairman of the Board.

Since opening in January 2015, Austin-based Asphalt Inc., LLC has been the fastest growing vertically integrated paving company in Texas with approximately 400 employees.
