C3 Supports Dr. Thompson for LLS Woman of Year

Cell Culture Company (C3) announces its support of Rebecca Thompson, PhD as a candidate for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Woman of the Year.

The Man & Woman of the Year contest is an annual fundraiser event for LLS. Over a ten-week period, leaders in the community campaign to raise money for cancer research. The campaign culminates in a Grand Finale Gala hosted at the St. Paul RiverCentre on May 19th. Last year, the contest raised $38.4 million nationally for blood cancer research.

Dr. Thompson is the Vice President of Quality at C3. She oversees the production of diagnostic and therapeutic products, many focused on detecting and curing cancer. Her goal is to raise $100,000 under her team name “Team Legacy.”

“We are proud to support Dr. Thompson in her campaign,” said C3 President Christiaan Engstrom. “To us, she represents the people who have committed their careers to curing cancer. Rebecca is a leader and we are happy to follow her example within the community.”
